For the second consecutive year, the Central Business Association (CBA) and the Downtown Management District (DMD) teamed up to organize the “El Segundo Barrio Backpack Drive” event, an
effort to collect backpacks and various school supplies for underprivileged students who live in Segundo Barrio, located in Downtown El Paso, Texas.
For several days, the supplies were donated by various community sectors as well as companies and associations to the Sacred Heart Parish collection center in order to be distributed.
A large number of items were delivered on Sunday, taking advantage of the “Back to School Event” held in the central District of El Paso, which was also highlighted by the tax-free discounts. This festivity
consisted in various entertainment activities such as a fashion show, cosplayers and princesses. In addition, there was food, music and a trampoline for the kids.
