Important issues such as the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement, migration, international trade and security were discussed during the two day US-Mexico Border Summit in El Paso, Texas and Ciudad Juarez.
Chihuahua and New Mexico governors presided over the inauguration ceremony held at the El Paso Civic Center, and brought together important businessmen, scholars and government representatives from both countries in various forums and conferences; the goal is to promote projects that motivate and benefit the economic growth of the region and the global competitiveness.
The event, organized by the Borderplex Alliance, featured prominent speakers such as Alex Hinojosa, General Interim Director of the North American Development Bank, Ana Navarro, political strategist and commentator for CNN news network, and Raul Barocio, Associate Vice-President of the Tecnológico de Monterrey Internationalization, who were in charge of the main themes of the summit.
