United in the preservation and promotion of the architecture and history of the city of El Paso, ‘The Trost Society’ celebrated its gala night 2018, having as main speaker the businessman Paul Foster.
Gathered in the lobby of the recently restored White House Departments store, inside the Center Building, the guests listened attentively to Foster’s talk, who highlighted the importance of preserving old designs, as well as their experiences with the Anson Mills building, now the Plaza Hotel.
Bernie Barents, leader of the Trost Society, was the interlocutor of the conversation with the special guest and the one who in charge to relive the times of glory that have marked and enriched the history of the city.
During the gala night, art lovers participated in an auction of works by renowned local artists, who identify our architecture and the life that surrounds them, and then enjoy delicious sandwiches and drinks.
The mission of the Trost Society is to promote the legacy of Trost & Trost, one of the most iconic architectural firms in the American Southwest, as well as to educate the public about the heritage of our region.
